What’s up guys, it’s your man BRUTAL LEGEND here with my review on Homefront: The Revolution.

Let’s begin.

The story of the game I really like with the whole Apex Company running America into the ground, with debt they can’t pay back so they get occupied, it’s a really solid story and I think it’s better than the last Homefront game. It’s not too technical or complicated and it’s easy to understand what both sides want.

Right the gameplay, now the gameplay to me is very glitchy and lags a lot, and I don’t mean just now and then, I mean all the time and you can see it whether it being soldiers falling through the ground, or a mindless clone of a character in a cut scene just standing there or getting in the way.

The lagging starts right out the bat with the characters in the cut scene not matching what is coming up in the subtitles, but what is the most annoying thing will have to be the freeze saving, if you don’t know what I mean it’s when the game freeze’s to save and it does it all the time: it gets annoying.

But with that said the main missions I do like, where you have a goal and have to get things done and meet other cell leaders in other zones to make sure you complete that goal whether it be getting the revolution leader back, getting the people on your side to stealing a goliath (oh yeah! there back and they are Awesome!).

Now the combat, the combat itself can be really hard with the special enemies like the trucks, wolverines, goliaths, heavy’s, seekers and those bloody air ships always hounding you. But because the rev soldiers always display with posters how to beat them and with the bombs and hack tools they give you make it just a bit easier, but the guns don’t help with most of them missing their target when you’re in open combat it’s not until you slow down and go stealthy.

Final Conclusion

If I had to put this game into three words they would be Disappointed, Messy, and Unfinished. Now I know there will be people out there disagreeing with me but hear me out I have my reasons, one of them being the lack of detail and that’s key in a next- gen game because that’s what makes it feel and look real and with the time they had to make this game there should be a lot more detail.

Because there is no tutorial you sit there wondering what each button dose and because they just throw you into the world you feel overwhelmed with everything. The reason I feel disappointed is because when you watch the trailers you think you can do this and do that but you can’t and that’s really sad because the game had lots of potential to be one of the greats but it just feels like it’s not there yet, it just feels like another watchdogs and that’s why its disappointing especially if you were like me who was eagerly awaiting this game.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t think everything in this game is bad and that I’m some kind of hater or something it’s just that there’s too much bad to see the good and that’s just how it is I’m sorry but it is, I don’t like talking bad about a game but I have to tell you guys how it is.

If the company could’ve just slowed down and go through things step by step, then this would have been a better game even if it released in 2018 or 2019 or whenever, it wouldn’t matter because it would have been great game so good try but I know you could do better.

Alright guys that was my review on Homefront: the revolution I hoped you enjoyed it, if you did hit the like below and put a comment about what you thought of it, I really want to hear from you guys.
