Hi everyone!

It’s OVERKILL here with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End so let’s get started,

HOLLLY!! SHIT!!! This game is off the charts!

I mean when I played Far Cry: Primal I thought “man this is good”, but this is one of the best games I have played this year so far. There is a lot you can do in this game and I will try to cover them all so let’s talk about the combat.

The combat part of the game, be it with a gun or with your bare hands, has so much flow that when he throws a punch it doesn’t look like he’s got form, more like a street brawler just throwing punches trying to survive. There will be no ducking and weaving in this game you have no block, only roll away, which means you can punch one dude and roll and punch an another dude but be careful, you can get grabbed and if you aren’t fast enough they will do some damage even kill. But don’t worry, if you have a companion they can save you and you can save them, you can even do combos which is awesome.

Then you have the guns. when you’re in combat with guns, it is so intense, so adrenalin pumping, it gives you a rush when you overcome the enemy. There are so many guns; not too many that you can’t remember what either do and not too little that it becomes boring. There are only 2 for snipers but 6 rifles and some guns you only can use once, a musket and the RPG, but it never gets boring in a firefight. You can swing, roll, jump over gaps and climb around and take them from another angle, it all up to you how you win the fight not the computer. there is no fighting plans it’s all open and you can go wherever you want to win.

One of the cool things is that there is no difference between hand to hand and firefight in this game. If you run out of ammo you can then pick it up or, have a stock bash battle with one of the enemy and when you win you get their gun, no picking it up afterwards, which has come to be a life saver, and because this is an uncharted there has to be a mini gunner. You do get grenades, 5 to be exact, which come in handy throughout the game. I love the combat in the game, when it is on easy I can’t wait to get in to combat and when it’s on hard I can’t what to get out.

Driving

You can only drive about in different scenes, with the boat there are 2 scenes and with the 4X4 there are 3, when you do drive them they both have a scene where there is little to no combat and then one with a shit load of combat. Surprisingly they are easy to drive even for a 3rd person adventure game where it is very poor but not with this game, and there is not a lot of scenes with driving but where you do get to drive they are awesome moments to remember.

Puzzles

This game is full of puzzles, or tests from the games point of view, there are so many and some are easier than others and some make you sit there and think about it and sometimes the game will have the answer to the clue but you have to be paying attention to what happens otherwise you will find it very hard and it doesn’t change whatever difficulty level it is on. Hard is hard, easy is easy and so on. The one thing about these puzzles is that they fit the story. They aren’t some puzzles that are used in another game and just changed for the story so you won’t find that here, these puzzles also help you understand the story better because you have to concentrate so hard that when you finish and you complete it, things begin to fall into place and if you are like me you can’t what for the next one.

Story

The story made this game like all the other story’s before, it keeps you guessing and wondering what happens next. The drama, the humour, the tense moments and the betrayals, it is what will make me keep playing this game until I break my controller and to me that should be a story, not a fill in for the game play but the focal point of the game and this story is one of the best I have played in a long time, and the reveal of their daughter makes me impatient waiting for the next one but with a new rising star.

Gameplay

The gameplay is uncharted, it has its flow, it has its tense moments, like in the chase scene with the big shoreline truck, and the chase through the city and many more. The parkour has no hiccups, you may slip and fall but besides that it is flawless and then the equipment you get some with the story like the rope but then you get the spike from that dead pirate. The gameplay is impeccable, truly the best so far and fitting for the last adventure with Nathan Drake.

Overall

I love this game; it doesn’t feel or look like a game but a very well made movie. I will not stop playing this game, it has the things other games miss, like if you have a rifle and you hop in a truck in most games they glitch it out but not in this game, he takes it off and puts it next to him and when he hops out he puts it back on, and in cut scenes when they show you the guns you have and not cut it out like other games. These little things are what makes it not a video game but a UNCHARTED game and this is one of the best character send-offs ever, and if you don’t have this game go get one it is amazing and you are missing out on one of the best adventures yet.

So farewell Nathan Drake and thanks for the adventure and thank you NAUGHTY DOG for the amazing game, it will be missed.

Ok this is the end of my review on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End I hope you enjoyed it. Leave a comment below, we would like to hear what you think of it, I have not reviewed the multiplayer because I haven’t played it at this time, all I can tell you is that it does require internet connection.

And remember “Want to Destroy? Drop a Noisy Boy!”

OVERKILL OUT!!!!!
